OK, guess it’s time to remind myself I’m paying for the domain name and hosting while Rantsville sits here with no new content. Sure, I’ve got plenty of excuses including: it’s summer and time to put miles on the Goldwing, the storage structure just isn’t building itself and uncomfortably colder weather isn’t the time to be doing finishing touches and so on and on and on. But the truth is: much as I tried to remain aloof and above the political machinations within this USA I’ve allowed myself to get pulled back into observing and trying to comprehend what’s going on here. I’m repulsed far more by the past seven plus months than by any previous administration since I began exercising my voting rights about 40 years ago.
Go ahead, make the “racist” claim but only if you can put a date to when Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Socialists, Communists and whatever other political parties in the US became races (as in ethnicity not as in the competition sense of the word). As the American system is structured you need to prove your accusations true (remember: innocent until proven guilty). Good luck with that.
My disapproval is rooted in repulsion over calculated encroachments of liberties, rights and freedoms being methodically removed from all American citizens by the titular head of the Democrat party in conjunction with his Democrat legislative cronies. OK, maybe that’s a bit of a broad brush but I believe it more true than false.
Check out THIS which is an interview done in 1985 with a knowledgeable USSR defector. Ruminate over what he explained 29 years ago and look at the political maneuvering of the current administration and ask yourself how far from complete communist governance are we. I used to believe we would not see it within my lifetime. Now I’ll be surprised if we do not see it before I die. At least I’ll have government health care to help me decide the right time and method of death.
But hey, I’m still alive, at least until the battery in my implanted pacemaker/defibrillator gives out. Then again it was very recently I learned I’m considered a “useless eater”. There’s a term that doesn’t exactly give me the warm fuzzies about government attitude in general.
